The short answer
Pick The Commissioner if your group already lives in Slack: it runs the league in a channel you already use and judges every photo in the thread. Pick The Spider League if you want a phone app with a card collection.

What sets The Commissioner apart
The Commissioner is a free Slack app that runs Spider League in your workspace: members post photos of spiders they find, and an AI commissioner identifies each species, rates its danger and rarity, awards points, and keeps the season standings.
Every ruling shows its basis for identification, a danger rating, a rarity rating, and the confidence behind the score. Members may appeal once per find, with a better photo if they have one, and the Commissioner answers with its grounds. Officers run seasons and can strike rule-breaking finds.
Where Spider League came from
Tim Robinson described Spider League on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2025 as a group chat in which he and his friends send each other spider photos and battle over the finds. Every project on this page is an independent fan effort, and none is affiliated with Tim Robinson.
